Water Use Efficiency and Nutritional Status of a New Grapevine Rootstock Selection

چکیده

The production and quality of grapes are determined by the hydric nutritional status vine. In modern viticulture, interface between grapevine soil is represented rootstock, which modulates uptake water nutrients. Thus, selection new rootstocks for abiotic stress tolerance represents an adaptation strategy viticulture to environmental conditions imposed climate change. aim this work evaluate water-use efficiency (WUE) a 30 rootstock genotypes, originating from several breeding programs. WUE gas exchange were measured each genotype in two environments characterized different availability, levels N, P, K, Mg, Ca, Na, Fe, Mn, Zn leaf blades during phenological stages flowering ripening. Water availability was environments, affecting exchange, with mean values carbon assimilation 10.43 ± 0.32 3.84 0.34 µmol CO2 m−2 s−1, respectively. Genotypes classified according their tolerance, vigor, affinity macronutrients micronutrients. A total 14 genotypes showed stress, 10 them reported high vigor assimilation. Furthermore, majority water-stress-tolerant had greater Mg than K. further studies, most promising will be evaluated grafting combination Vitis vinifera.

Evaluation of drought tolerance of new grapevine rootstock hybrids.

The drought tolerance is a very important property of grapevine rootstocks. For that reason the breeding and selection of new rootstock varieties is focused also on the evaluation of their drought tolerance. In this experiment, altogether 20 new hybrids and 4 existing rootstock varieties were compared and evaluated. The experimental scheme involved 3 variants of water supply. Evaluated were the...

WATER USE EFFICIENCY Deficit irrigation in grapevine improves water-use efficiency while controlling vigour and production quality

Grapevine irrigation is becoming an important practice to guarantee wine quality or even plant survival in regions affected by seasonal drought. Nevertheless, irrigation has to be controlled to optimise source to sink balance and avoid excessive vigour. The results we present here in two grapevine varieties (Moscatel and Castelão) during 3 years, indicate that we can decrease the amount of wate...

efl students gender and socioeconomic status: the use of politeness strategies in the first and second languages

within the components of communicative competence, a special emphasis is put on the “rules of politeness,” specifically the politeness strategies (brown and levinson, 1978) that speakers deploy when performing the request speech act. this is because the degree of imposition that making a request places upon one’s interlocutor(s) has been seen to be influenced by several factors among which, as ...

Reduced nighttime transpiration is a relevant breeding target for high water-use efficiency in grapevine.

Increasing water scarcity challenges crop sustainability in many regions. As a consequence, the enhancement of transpiration efficiency (TE)-that is, the biomass produced per unit of water transpired-has become crucial in breeding programs. This could be achieved by reducing plant transpiration through a better closure of the stomatal pores at the leaf surface. However, this strategy generally ...
